Precautions

• Limit contact with soft tissue
• Avoid direct contact of the active surface of the tooth whitening gel with the gums and/or salivary flow
• You may experience temporary discomfort of the gums, lips, throat, tongue, or teeth. Should any of these symptoms persist or worsen after discontinuing use, or in cases of severe discomfort, call your dental professional.
• Avoid swallowing large amounts of gel. Ingestion of small amounts of gel during use is expected.
• If the product is ingested, drink large amounts of water and contact a physician. If the product is aspirated, seek immediate medical attention.
• Restorative materials will not whiten. We recommend whitening discolored teeth before restorative placement.
• Wait at least 7–10 days after whitening procedures before any dental restorative work is done.
• Those with serious health concerns should consult their primary care provider prior to treatment
• Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse immediately if product comes into contact with them.
• To prevent additional irritation, gingival and general oral health should be evaluated prior to initiating treatment.
• Monitor whitening progress to prevent whitening beyond the desired shade or translucency.
• Do not eat, drink, or use tobacco products while whitening trays are in place.
• Do not wear whitening tray while sleeping
• Bring treatment tray to room temperature before use.
• Pregnant or nursing women should not use teeth whitening products.
• For users with allergy concerns, refer to product allergen document available at Ultradent. If allergic reaction is observed, rinse exposed area thoroughly with water and consult your physician.

It also has a more advanced precision distribution of whitening gel, meaning better coverage on your teeth. Lastly, Opalescence Go Advanced features less plastic and no extra application tray, meaning less waste.

Due to the precise nature of Opalescence Go Advanced’s whitening gel distribution within the whitening tray, it is not recommended to use with traditional orthodontic braces. However, we are happy to say that our classic Opalescence Go™ Prefilled Whitening Trays are compatible with braces and capable of whitening teeth underneath them.

Everyone responds differently to whitening treatments and everyone will whiten at different rates. Some stains are easier to treat than others. Teeth that are yellow or brown are easier to whiten than teeth that are gray/blue. Younger patients typically whiten quicker than older patients, but every patient is different. When whitening, keep in mind that a smile looks most natural when the color of the teeth matches the whites of the eyes. Some people want a Hollywood-white smile, but that is not a natural color for teeth and few people can truly reach that color of white.

In general, lighter stains will whiten faster. It is difficult to guarantee teeth will whiten a specific amount. It depends on many factors, including:

• Type and intensity of tooth discoloration
• Patients's individual tooth anatomy
• Age
• Length of treatment
• Which shade guide the office used
